GEREC is a collaborative effort in ageing research run jointly by the University of Jyväskylä and Tampere University. GEREC was set up to produce new scientific knowledge on the life, health and functioning of the ageing population. Our aim is to increase understanding of the prerequisites for enjoying a meaningful life across the lifespan. We also participate in university education and seek to further expertise in the field of ageing.
