The historical poetics of Finnish literature

This project produces a new history of Finnish literature in the frame of historical poetics. It examines the emergence of the different forms of literary expression in Finnish literature in a diachronic-contextual frame from the early stages to the present.

The project brings together experts in genre studies, narratology, comics studies, poetry research and literary isms to open up a broad view into the diachronic development of Finnish literature.
