The goal of this project is to develop a robot to be used as a teaching platform at a primary school that also acts as a robotic vacuum cleaner during night. The robot attempts to offer an interesting and versatile teaching platform that gives students an opportunity to learn about robotics and programming. The robot is built on top of an autonomous movement platform and combines machine vision and robotic arms that the students can program using a graphical programming interface. The movement platform combined with an industrial vacuum enables cleaning during nights and lightens the load on cleaning personnel allowing them to concentrate on more challenging cleaning activities.
