MAX IV Laboratory - FIMAX consortium
MAX IV Laboratory is a Swedish national laboratory providing scientists with the most brilliant X-rays for research. MAX IV collaborates with various consortium and projects through which users can apply for privileged beamtime access or other forms of support.
FIMAX is a consortium of Finnish Universities and research organizations with a valid collaboration agreement with MAX IV Laboratory. The members of FIMAX are:

- Tampere University
- CSC – IT Center for Service
- University of Helsinki
- University of Jyväskylä
- University of Turku
- VTT Technical Research Centre Finland Ltd
- Åbo Akademi University
Within the framework of this contract, FIMAX contributes to MAX IV Laboratory by providing expertise, support, equipment, personnel and operation funds. FIMAX partnership with MAX IV Laboratory is mainly funded by Academy of Finland. Steering committee of FIMAX consists of representatives of formal member sites of the FIMAX consortium and Finnish Synchrotron Radiation Users Organisation (FSRUO). Tampere University is also a member in the FSRUO, which coordinates the Finnish activities that use synchrotron and free-electron-laser light and related tools.
