The project focuses on improving efficiency, reducing energy consumption, lowering greenhouse gas emissions, and increasing productivity. The project develops technologies in real industrial settings of three industrial sectors (ceramics, asphalt, aluminium).
Tampere University's efforts are related to development of the Virtual Power Plant and in integration of distributed energy resources and the flexiblity of energy intensive industrial processes.
