Active since 1996, the primary objective of NISEC is to bring together expertise in education, research and practice in the field of information security and privacy.
Research focus and goals
Our core competencies currently traverse the following areas:
- Network Security: TUT Cyber Labs is the key component, designed to answer the needs of leading network security research and education.
- IoT Security: We focus on the technological components enabling secure communication and lifecycle management with constrained devices and networks.
- Hardware-Assisted Security: At the intersection of theory and practice in cryptography and security.
- Privacy and Usable Security: Addresses key technical aspects of information security and privacy by designing and developing practical protocols and solutions to enhance users' privacy & security.
