CSC Tampere University joint scholarship programme provides the possibility for Chinese PhD students, post-doc fellows and visiting scholars to apply for funding to conduct research at Tampere University. The China Scholarship Council operates under the Chinese Ministry of Education providing funding for Chinese nationals to study and conduct research abroad and foreign students and scholars to study in China.

CSC Tampere University Scholarship Programme

The Fulbright-Tampere University Scholar Award offers U.S. scholars the opportunity to conduct research at the Tampere University for a period of 3-10 months. The Fulbright- Tampere University grantee will conduct research and lecture at any of the seven faculties of the University.

It includes monthly grant of 4,500 EUR&nbsp; (approx. 5,000 USD), paid out in euro in monthly installments, one-time travel allowance of 1,800 USD, housing for the scholar and his/her accompanying family arranged and paid for by the host university and Fulbright support services.

The Fulbright-Tampere University Scholar Award

Tampere University is a member of the global <a class="link--external" href="https://www.scholarsatrisk.org/">Scholars at Risk</a> Network promoting academic freedom and supporting persecuted researchers. The University offers temporary positions and acts as a host institution for scholars who are forced to flee. Funding for hosting threatened scholars is available for Finnish institutions via the U.S. based Institution of International Education Scholar Rescue Fund with co-funding from the Finnish National Agency for Education.

Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions

The Academy of Finland collaborates with sister organisations in a number of countries to open joint calls for researcher mobility to and from Finland. The countries in question are India, Japan, China, (incl. Taiwan), Germany and Russia. Funding can be applied for mobility from or to Finland. For some countries, funding is granted only in one direction.
