RF laboratory consists of a wide variety of equipment intended for arbitrary waveform generation and analysis, as well as software defined radio (SDR) based demonstration and prototyping environment, for example towards 5G radio access solutions research, including also support for fast real-time digital signal processing in the devices. Signal generation, analysis and measurement capabilities cover frequencies up to 100 GHz, and we host state-of-the-art instruments such as Keysight Infiniium UXR-Series Real-Time Oscilloscopes, Keysight M8195A 65 GSa/s Arbitrary Waveform Generator, Rohde & Schwarz FSW85 high-performance signal and spectrum analyzer, NI Vector Signal Transceiver 2, and NI mmWave Transceiver System. The environment also supports true over-the-air (OTA) testing through various beam-steering and directive antenna capabilities.
Furthermore, RF laboratory also contains a Spectracom GSC-64 Multi-GNSS hardware emulator which can simulate in real time all the four existing and upcoming GNSS constellations (GPS, GALILEO, GLONASS, Beidou) on four simultaneous carrier frequencies using its 64 independent channels. The simulator is capable to emulate the received satellite signals at any selected time and location (or trajectory) on Earth.
