RIME - Research Group on Information and Media Practices

RIME consists of current and former researchers in the field of information studies at Tampere University, who study topics such as information practices (e.g., information seeking, sharing, avoidance, preservation, management, and creation), information literacies, Internet research, social media, the many forms of reading, educational technology, and interaction in virtual environments.

Research focus and goals

The goal of RIME is to produce high-quality research both solo and in co-operation from top scholars in disciplines such as the social sciences, education, organization studies and human-computer interaction. It also enhances the publication rate and quality of the discipline's doctoral students and helps them graduate faster.
