Our research group focuses on understanding the causes and consequences of biological aging. By applying omics techniques and causal inference methods to large datasets, we aim to uncover the mechanisms of biological aging at the cellular (epigenetic clocks), organ (composite biomarkers), and whole-organism levels (frailty scores). Additionally, we are spearheading the development of an AI-based electronic frailty index (eFI), a tool designed to assess an individual's biological age and overall health, aiding healthcare providers in decision-making and care planning.
