The main purpose of TeknoHub is to bring wide-ranging new knowledge in technology and digitalisation to SMEs in Upper Savo and thereby to the entire region for use now and in the future. TeknoHub is an Upper Savo operating model developed with ESF funding, in which the co-creation and co-learning of technology SMEs create functional structures and models for companies in the region for the continuous improvement of their digital and technological change capabilities.
The project is divided into three work packages (miniHUB):
- (Cooperative) robotics and machine vision,
- Digitalization and
- (Production) simulation.
Experts from the Tampere University and Savonia University of Applied Sciences are bringing top-level expertise to defined areas of digitalisation and technology renewal, and are contributing to enabling companies' technological leaps. Savonia and Iisalmen Teollisuuskylä Oy are developing a structural model for the TeknoHub project to continuously promote the digital and technological capabilities of SMEs in the region also in the future.
