Turre & Toivoset 2.0 studies different tools and methods that are used to gather and measure data about canine behaviour. The focus is on canine cognition, veterinary science, customer experience, psychology, and business understanding. The project consists of four work packages: 1) customer perspective through quantitative surveys and qualitative methods 2) developing canine technology with prototypes and smarter data interpretation systems 3) smarter digital services for dog owners 4) networking and community building.
Background
The relationships between humans and animals has shifted. Instead of a mere jogging partner, the dog is now seen as a beloved family member. Technology and business opportunities may offer deeper understanding about the measured results, but also the increased knowledge about user experience, marketing and motivation are key factors for international growth in this area.
Goal
Turre & Toivoset 2.0 is a project with the purpose of researching and developing canine technology and digital solutions that support human-animal interaction and enable the Finnish business ecosystem to find smart solutions to assist families with dogs meet the challenges they might face in their daily lives.
