Practicalities for student ambassadors

Compensation

Unibuddy ambassadors get a compensation of 50€ per semester. This requires active participation.

Content crew ambassadors get a compensation of 40-60€ per activity (solo content). You can also create content with your fellow content crew members in which case the compensation is slightly smaller per person. Detailed compensation chart is introduced in the content crew meetings and trainings.

Other events and activities are paid a set sum. For example, a basic compensation for attending a virtual event is 40€. More information on the compensation model will be given in the trainings.

The compensation is paid to your Finnish bank account. You need to have a personal banking ID or Mobile ID for strong authentication. All payments are taxable income which means that you need a Finnish tax card to receive the payments.

ECTS

You can earn 2 ECTS for being a student ambassador. In order to receive the credits you will need to participate the student ambassador activities at least for one academic year, attend the trainings, complete set activities and respond to a feedback survey. The credits can be granted once only.

Administration

We use Moodle and Teams to coordinate and communicate Student Ambassador activities. You will receive the Moodle key in the first training. In Moodle you find all training material and the gigs available as well as more detailed information on the compensation. In addition to the Moodle, content crew ambassadors are added to a Teams channel.
