<h3>Courses with fee</h3>

<p>Application for the training becomes binding after the last application date.</p>

<p>For cancellation made after the end of the application period, 50% of the participation fee will be charged.&nbsp;If the cancellation takes place 1-14 days before the start of the training, the entire price of the training will be charged.</p>

<p>In the event of an obstacle, the place of training can be handed over to a colleague. In trainings with separate selection criteria, a place cannot be handed over to another.</p>

<p>The program consists of several independently conducted online courses. You can choose the accessibility topics that suit you from the online courses and register for them by selecting them from the registration form. You can complete the courses in the order that suits you.</p>

<p>Courses are online-courses in the DigiCampus environment. After registration, you will receive instructions for activating the student ID and instructions for joining the course. There are more detailed instructions for completing the course in the online environment.</p>

<h3>Teaching</h3>

<p>The study module is led by <a href="https://research.tuni.fi/taccu/">TACCU</a> – Tampere Accessibility Unit, which is a multidisciplinary unit conducting accessibility-related research and education at the Tampere Universities.</p>

<h3>Fees</h3>

<p>Fees are determined by the credits (ECTS) of each course.</p>

<p>This Accessibility in Digital Society study module has been created with a wide range of needs and target groups in mind. From the whole, it is possible to choose the courses that benefit the most yourself, your own organization or reference group from among several options.<br>
<br>
The courses are structured in such a way that extensive prior knowledge of the topics is not required. You can find the target groups and publication dates of each course in the course's presentations. Courses are available in both Finnish and English.<br>

<strong>Introduction to Accessibility MOOC is a free and open course with content useful for everyone.</strong> Other courses are subject to a fee.</p>

<p>This course consists of five minimodules which focus on easy language, picture communication, subtitling, speech, and audio to text, and machine translation.&nbsp;</p>

<p>After this course you will have the overall understanding of how language can be made more accessible.&nbsp;</p>

<p>This course is targeted especially to people who work as translators or content producers.</p>

<p>This course consists of four minimodules which focus on AI, haptics, spoken interfaces, and trends in accessibility.</p>

<p>After completing this course, you will know what is happening right now in the accessibility research and accessibility field overall.</p>

<p>This course is targeted especially to people who work in technical industry or with user interfaces.</p>

<p>This course consists of three minimodules which focus on technical and understandable web accessibility and user experience.</p>

<p>After completing this course, you will have better understanding of what to consider in accessible web design.</p>

<p>This course is targeted especially at people who are experienced web designers and want to expand their knowledge to accessibility.</p>

<p>This course consists of three minimodules, which focus on accessibility legislation, accessible lectures, and accessible material production.</p>

<p>After completing this course, you will have the skills and understanding to make teaching more accessible.</p>

<p>This course consists of five minimodules which focus on technical and content web accessibility, HTML, and site structure.</p>

<p>After completing this course, you will have the basic skills to analyze the accessibility of a website design and create and modify new accessible structures to websites.</p>

<p>This course is targeted especially to people who aren’t very familiar with HTML or website design overall.</p>

<p>This course consists of thee minimodules which focus on information visualization, translating visuals to text, and picture communication.</p>

<p>After this course, you will have basic skills to produce accessible visual information and convert visual information into text form.</p>

<p>This course is targeted especially to people who make visual information and data visualization.</p>

<p>This course consists of four minimodules which focus on social media, language, television, and audio description.&nbsp;</p>

<p>After completing this course, you will have the basic skills to translate e.g. visuals to text and produce more accessible media content.</p>

<p>This course is targeted especially to people who work in the media. &nbsp;</p>

<h3>Teaching</h3>

<p>This course consists of two minimodules which focus on games and current AR (augmented reality) and VR (virtual reality)&nbsp;technologies.&nbsp;</p>

<p>After completing this course, you will be capable of taking accessibility more into account in AR, VR and game environments.&nbsp;</p>

<h3>Target group</h3>

<p>This course is targeted especially to people who work in media or technology field.</p>

<h3>Teaching</h3>

<p>The course provides experiences from disabled people and gives information how to interact and encounter people with disabilities. The course offers tips and hints about what to consider for example in online meetings related to accessibility.</p>
