Student Ambassadors act as a link between Tampere University and the outside community. As a student ambassador you have a central role in marketing our degree programmes by sharing your own study experiences.

Why apply to be a student ambassador?

How to apply? 

We recruit new Student Ambassadors once a year. Application is open from late May to early September. Both new and continuing ambassadors need to apply annually. Application period for the academic year 2025-2026 will be announced later.

Student Ambassadors work for the whole academic year or one semester only, if agreed upon. If you want to continue after your first year, you need to apply again.

How are the student ambassadors selected?

We recruit 1-2 Unibuddy ambassadors from each degree programme and 15 content crew ambassadors from different study fields and different parts of the world. Ambassadors are selected based on their skills and previous experience displayed in application form. If needed, we will also interview the candidates. We will inform all applicants of our decision by email. The selections are made in cooperation with our international student recruitment team, domestic student recruitment team and marketing team.

Who can apply?

Student ambassador activities are meant for degree students of Tampere University. You need to be enrolled as an attending student in one of our English-taught Bachelor's or Master's programmes in order to take part in the ambassador activities. You need your user account (TUNI account) to be able to fill in the form. First year master students can apply but please note that you need to be in Tampere and have some experience in studying and living here in order to be able to be a successful ambassador. Bachelor students can participate in the activities starting from their second year of study.
