Students participating in content courses, to which intercultural communication is integrated as an optional and additional course, will receive the credits through this course (KIE-08906) upon succesfull completion of the required tasks described in the course Moodle site. The contents of the intercultural course are designed to support the topics and the tasks in the content course.

Contents: To achieve the learning outcomes, students will - read texts / watch videos and then take part in group discussions online - give and receive feedback from other students - learn vocabulary /phrases related to participating effectively in meetings and one-on-one situations - reflect on their own intercultural and linguistic behavior / performance during the Demola project - write a final reflection on their own linguistic and intercultural development during the course Continuous evaluation. Learning Outcomes
During this course, students deepen their knowledge about intercultural communication and its application to a specific project of their interest. Students propose a topic and a project plan during the first of the two meetings in the course. During the course, the students interact and give support to each other to advance in their projects through online forums. At the end of the course, the students attend a second meeting to present their projects to the other students. The projects of the students can focus on themes, such as: - Multilinguism or multiculturalism in the academic or working world - Development of products or services in a foreign cultural environment - Intercultural communication and integration in the society Students will be able to: -develop a project in which intercultural communication plays an important role -apply major theories of intercultural communication on a specific topic or situation -draw conclusions or give suggestions for their projects based on theories of intercultural communication
