Implementation ARK-00046 2019-01

Description

The course introduces the past, the planning history, the current situation and possible future prospects of a yearly selected destination city. During the course, each student concentrates on a specific field or a central theme related to the destination city. In May 18-23, 2020, the destination is Paris.

Requirements

In order to pass the course with the grade accepted, a student must pass the following tasks:
- workshop at Tampere University, May 6-8, see below
- project presentation for the excursion guide book (individual task), deadline May 13
- excursion to Paris, May 18-23, see below
- travel journal (individual task), deadline June 8.

Additional information of course implementation

No more 40 students can be accepted to the course. When a course is over-subscribed, i.e. there are more sign-ups than places on the course, we enroll
the required number of students according to the following criteria and order:
1) students that are enrolled in the Bachelor/Master/Doctor of Science in Architecture degree
programs and exchange students that are enrolled in the exchange program in Architecture and if needed
the priority is given to students that signed up first
2) students that are enrolled in the degree programs other than Architecture and if needed priority
is given to students for whom the course is compulsory and then if needed the priority is given to
students that signed up first
3) other students and if needed the priority is given to students that signed up first
Students on the sign-up / waiting list have to be present on the first day of the course to be sure of
retaining their place.
