Description

Opintojaksolla perehdytään kirjoittamiseen arkkitehdin työkaluna, erityinen painotus on diplomityön eli tutkielmatyyppisen esseen vaatimuksissa. Selvitetään viittaustekniikan perusteita, lähdeluettelon kirjoittamisen sääntöjä ja tekstin rakentamista. Opintojakson aikana valmistellaan diplomityön laaja työsuunnitelma, kirjoitetaan johdanto ja aloitetaan kirjallisuusluettelo.

The course explores writing as an architect's tool with an emphasis on the Master's thesis writing process. Topics include referencing, compiling a bibliography and structuring the text. During the course a work plan is drafted, introduction written and a list of literature begun.

Requirements

Hyväksytysti laaditut osatehtävät, mm. työsuunnitelma, kirjoitelman johdanto ja alustava kirjallisuusluettelo.
Tasks, f.ex. work plan, introduction and a preliminary biblioraphy.

Additional information of course implementation

When a course is over-subscribed, i.e. there are more sign-ups than places on the course, we enroll
the required number of students according to the following criteria and order:
1) students that are enrolled in the Bachelor/Master/Doctor of Science in Architecture degree
programs
2) exchange students that are enrolled in the exchange program in Architecture and if needed
the priority is given to students that signed up first
