Learning Outcomes
After completing the course, a student understands the importance of resource recovery in circular economy (emphasis on environmental technology). The student can list different compounds that can be recovered and in which municipal and industrial side streams they are present. The student can also define the characteristics of these side streams. The student can name different physical, chemical and biological technologies that can be used to recover different compounds and can describe in detail the fundamentals and implementation at least one of these technologies. After completing the course, the student can describe both current and future technologies used for resource recovery and evaluate the suitability of these technologies for defined side streams.
