This course is aimed at all students¿ part of the MSc programme in Biomedical Sciences and Engineering. The students will be exposed to introductory lectures and laboratories of all three majors (Health Technology and Informatics; Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering and Biomedical Micro- and Nanodevices) offered in the programme.

Learning Outcomes
After completing the course students will: - be able to relate their own field of study to the broad and multidisciplinary Biomedical Sciences and Engineering field. - Use their knowledge of natural science in a biomedical engineering contest - be exposed to the principle underneath each major, raising their ability to think out of the box, in a multidisciplinary context. - learn and apply laboratory practices pertaining to the three majors offered in the programme - Operate in the laboratories with full control of the risks and safety protocols to be taken into account. - write reports to learn how to retrieve information, apply research ethics and knowledge gained in scientific writing and improving their language skills. - develop their interpersonal skills to work in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural environments. - perform project as part of a team, allowing them to practice their leadership skills.
