Learning Outcomes
Student can understand and explain the terminology and the definitions used in the field of biomedical materials science. Student is able to separate differences between material groups and materials, their biocompatibility and typical reactions inside the human body. Student can name the most common materials in the field of biomedical materials science. Student can explain the structures, properties and differences of the most common materials as well as explain how and why different materials are used for different clinical applications. Student can explain main sterilization methods for different materials, and understand the demands and principles for operations in clean rooms.
