FYS-1627 Solid State Physics, 5 cr

Implementation FYS-1627 2019-01

Description

The course gives an introduction to solid state physics, which is the most extensive subfield of modern physics today. The course begins with the classical and quantum mechanical concepts behind the physical description of matter and proceeds to different materials and systems of condensed matter.
