Learning Outcomes

After completing the course, the student will be able to identify and name the essential definitions and basic theories related to contact, friction, wear and lubrication mechanisms in machine systems. The student can apply them to the dimensioning of basic contact types. The student will find out trend lines between the basic theories presented in lectures and experiments carried out in laboratory. The student identifies effects of tribology on sustainable development.
