Description

Introduction to Graduate Studies covers information on the structure of the study programme and the study modules. Students are familiar with the content of the their degree programme. Students learn how to use the PSP tool and make a personal study plan. Students are familiar with the Finnish working life and different ways to find a job. The students are able to identify some of their possible career opportunities.

The course covers advice on learning techniques, motivation, and time and project management.

Library tour and Information retrieval are part of the course.

Mandatory attendance in the sessions and lectures
Approved personal study plan made with PSP tool.

Additional information of course implementation

The course is mandatory for all the students of Photonics Technologies, who start their studies on Autumn 2019. Of the events during the Welcome week (week 34) the General Study Information Session for all new international students, Tue 20.8. at 9 - 11 and Degree Programme-specific Study Guidance at the Faculties, Tue 20.8. afternoon are part of this course.
