TST-01606 Demola Project Work, 5-10 cr
Additional information
Notes to Finnish students:
* Huomaa että uusimuotoinen Demola-projekti on vain yhden (1) periodin mittainen, joten oletuksena on noin 20 työtunnin panostus joka viikko !
* Huomaa, että muissa tiedekunnissa (LTT, TRT, TTI) on myös Demola-kursseja, joten varmista, että ilmoittaudut oikealle kurssille (pääaine/laboratorio).
* Kurssille osallistumisen edellytyksenä on valinta projektiin Demolassa.
* Demolaan ja opintojakson toteutuskerralle (TTY, POP) ilmoittaudutaan erikseen (ellei ilmoittautumista muuteta).
* Ennen projektin alkamista, ota yhteyttä pääainetta edustavan laboratrion vastuuopettajaan (ks. luettelo alla).
International students:
* This new version is just one (1) period long, so you are supposed to work about 20 hours every week for this project course !!
* Please note that other faculties have Demola courses too, so see that you have selected the correct course for you, according your major study subject.
* In order to participate on the course, you need to apply and be selected to a Demola project.
* You sign in separately to Demola (tampere.demola.net), and to the course implementation (TUT POP system), unless otherwise stated.
* TST-01606 is not recommended for Bachelor students.
* TST-01606 is not recommended for exchange students, because of the required intensive work (about 20 h/week).

Learning Outcomes
After the course, the student is able to participate in a professional role in a team that creates a demo or a prototype of a product, service or other innovation, using agile development practices, design and product research methods. Team working skills are especially emphasised as the course comprises of an assignment carried out by a group of students having different backgrounds and skill sets. By writing a project report the student will learn to summarize, rationalise and explain the findings and ideas developed during the project.
