Learning Outcomes

Advanced studies about a selected topic in the area of next-generation networking. Content varies in different implementation rounds. In overall there are lectures providing an overview to the topic and seminar talks about given topics. Students are required to choose the topic of interest and give a presentation. The topic for 2019-2020 implementation is 5G/5G+ cellular systems. In this course you are expected to learn: - networking concepts to be implemented in 5G systems; - specifics of propagation in EHF/THF bands; - techniques to overcome blockage in NR systems; - challenges of using THF band for communications - micro- and macro-scale applications of THz communications
