Learning Outcomes
As learning objectives, the course will 1) develop students¿ knowledge on alternative theoretical assumptions and explanations for issues regarding organizations in their environment, organizing, and inter-organizational relationships. It will 2) improve the students¿ ability to frame and position their own organizational research, connect their own concepts with theoretical foundations, and assess others¿ research work in light of alternative theories. After the course, the students should 3) have the readiness to discuss and debate organization theoretical considerations as part of scientific work, and 4) apply different theories and potentially contribute to them through their own research.

Basics of organization theory (will be tested in the beginning of the course and can be completed through readings).
Doctoral student status.
