Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, student have an in-depth understanding of the principles and methods of safety engineering concerning individual machines, extensive production systems and the process industry. Student will be familiar with the key safety engineering technologies and have the knowledge and skills to improve the safety of individual machines and large-scale processes. Student will be familiar with the essential requirements that apply to the user manuals, markings and technical documentation of machinery. Student will be able to carry out all the measures set forth in the EU's Machinery Directive to ensure that machines meet the common minimum requirements for health and safety before they may be placed on the EU market. In addition, student will be familiar with the safety requirements related to the acquisition of machinery and production systems.
