Computer science and software systems play a great role in several fields of technology. The purpose of this collection of courses is to give the basic introduction to software for several fields of technology.

Tavoitteet

- Software is an important part of current applications on all branches of technology. Many equipment that used to be implemented solely without information technology, are containing more and more information technology and hence also software. Therefore, software engineering is a good choice for a minor in any curriculum. The studies contain software engineering, embedded and distributed systems, theory and practice of programming, and basics of databases, computer graphics, and user interfaces.
- A basic module in Computer Science gives the student good abilities to act as a customer's representative in a software project, skills to make independently small software applications and participate in large projects as one of the programmers.
