Osaamistavoitteet
| - | Jatkotutkintokoulutuksen tavoitteena on, että opiskelija 1. Perehtyy syvällisesti omaan tutkimusalaansa ja sen yhteiskunnalliseen merkitykseen. 2. Hankkii valmiudet soveltaa itsenäisesti ja kriittisesti tieteellisen tutkimuksen menetelmiä ja luoda uutta tieteellistä tietoa. 3. Perehtyy hyvin oman tutkimusalansa kehitykseen, perusongelmiin ja tutkimusmenetelmiin. 4. Saavuttaa sellaisen yleisen tieteenteorian ja tutkimusalaansa liittyvien muiden tieteenalojen tuntemuksen, joka mahdollistaa niiden kehityksen seuraamisen. 5. Saavuttaa riittävän viestintä- ja kielitaidon ja muut valmiudet toimia työelämässä laajoissa ja vaativissa asiantuntija- ja kehitystehtävissä ja kansainvälisessä yhteistyössä. Jatkotutkintoa suoritettaessa on noudatettava Tutkimuseettisen neuvottelukunnan (TENK) tutkimuseettisiä ohjeita. -- The objective of doctoral education is that students: 1. become well-versed in their own field of research and its societal significance; 2. gain the knowledge and skills required to apply scientific research methods independently and critically and produce new scientific knowledge; 3. become conversant with the developments, basic problems and research methods in their own field of research and related fields; and 4. gain such knowledge of the general theory of science and of other disciplines related to their own field of research as to enable the students to follow developments in them; 5. gain the necessary communication and language skills and other competencies to pursue challenging professional careers and international collaboration. Students who pursue a postgraduate degree at the University shall comply with the guidelines set forth by the Finnish Advisory Board on Research Integrity. |
Rakenne
Jatkotutkinnot koostuvat opinnäytetyöstä ja opinnoista. Tohtorin tutkintoa varten tehtävä opinnäytetyö on väitöskirja. Opintoihin kuuluu pääaine (min. 25 op) ja tieteelliset yleisopinnot (min. 5 op). Yhteensä opintojen laajuus on vähintään 40 opintopistettä. Tiedekuntaneuvosto vahvistaa kunkin jatkotutkinto-opiskelijan tutkintovaatimukset. Tieto- ja sähkötekniikan tohtoriohjelman opinnoista on lisätietoa POP:ssa > Tohtorikoulutus > Tieto- ja sähkötekniikka > Opinnot -- Doctoral degrees shall comprise a doctoral thesis and postgraduate studies. Postgraduate studies consist of major studies (min 25 cr) and general scientific studies (min 5 cr), altogether at least 40 credits. The faculty council approves the degree requirements that postgraduate students are expected to meet.
