Description:
The studio looks at the design and development of cities and buildings at multiple scales with a focus on sustainable and integrated solutions. The objective of the studio is to analyze and design solutions related to sustainable cities, with a project that can be developed at either urban or architectural scale. The main focus is on the design solutions, but the meaning and importance of the development process will be considered together with them. In other words, the projects affect the process and vice versa, and therefore they both need to be considered equally relevant in the sustainable design process. Engineering students who are interested in participating in the course must discuss about potential individual assignment with prof. Edelman. The course uses real-life data. Please note that all data collected and used during the course is confidential and distribution or publishing the data is strictly forbidden through any media, including social media.
