Learning Outcomes

Digital manufacturing systems integrate advanced 3D design and simulation tools enabling collaborative product and process design. After completing this course, student is able to build and use digital models and tools for production system design.

Content

1. Production planning with digital manufacturing tools.   Simulation and analysis of production system. Comparison of alternatives.   
2. Models for single/multi-resource system.  Off-line programming of robots and machine tools. Methods for milling, turning and material handling.
