Requirements
The course can be completed by passing the final exam. The course grade can be upgraded by one by carrying out the offered homeworks.
Learning Outcomes
The course gives the basic knowledge on signle and three-phase diode and thyristor-based rectifiers as well as active-switch-based rectifiers/inverters in such a way that the student can sketch the waveforms associated to the converters and solve the voltage/current stresses for selecting the power-stage components as well as knows their basic switch-control schemes.
