Description:

Introduction to Graduate Studies covers information on the structure of the study programme and the study modules. Students learn how to use the PSP tool and make a personal study plan. The course also covers advice on learning techniques, motivation, and time and project management. Information on IT-systems, library tour and Information retrieval are part of the course. One of the sessions is a career event, which consists of an alumni panel, where the alumni discuss e.g. the job relevance of their studies and their career after graduation.

Additional information of course implementation:

The course is mandatory. The requirements for passing the course: - mandatory attendance in the sessions and lectures - interview a teacher at the faculty (done in groups of 2-3 students). Interview in mid September - deadline 30 Sep. Check the instructions in the attachment in POP. - write a learning diary (essay done individually). Check the instructions in the attachment in POP. Deadline 1 Oct. - approved PSP: make a personal study plan with PSP tool and send for approval.
