Gear up for Finnish worklife! Greetings student or recent graduate! Are you wondering how to articulate your skills for employers? Do you want to strengthen your professional confidence and your prospects for worklife? Welcome to the Freshmen party – worklife edition (The event is called in Finnish: Työelämän fuksiaiset)!

The event will consist of a career-themed course of activities, which will be completed in mixed groups of students and recent graduates. Alumni from the higher education community will be hosting the activities, and you can stay after the event to chat with them in afterwork.

Why join the event? The fun and useful activities will give you the chance to look at job seeking from an employer's perspective and deepen your knowledge about Finnish worklife. In addition to that, you learn to articulate your skills in a fresh way. Above all, you will be able to discuss common issues with peers and with employers in a supportive atmosphere.

The event will also include refreshments and it will be held bilingually so you can participate both in English and Finnish. The event is free of charge and 48 of the fastest students and recent graduates can participate.

The after-work event will offer drinks, good company and great discussions inspired by the event. The after-work event is also open to the partners of the university community, alumni and other stakeholders. The event is a great opportunity to meet new and old friends. It is easy to drop in at the end of the working day.

The registration will open Tuesday 8, October 2024 at 8.00 AM.
