Tampere University admits almost 800 new students to English-language Master's programmes
Applicants could apply to a maximum of three programmes. The total number of applications was over 3,500.
The most popular programmes were Computing Sciences, Data Science (262 applications, 47 admitted students), Computing Sciences, Machine Learning (235 applications, 42 admitted students) Leadership for Change – Sustainable Business Management (212 applications, 20 admitted students) and Public and Global Health (211 applications, 45 admitted students).
The admitted students represent 76 different nationalities. The percentage of non-EU and non-EEA applicants was 73% (567 applicants). 37% of all applicants were admitted.
“It is great to see the growth in the number of admitted students compared to previous years. We are also looking forward to meeting those students who decided to postpone their studies last year due to the pandemic. I would like to congratulate all new students, see you in next autumn!”, says Marja Sutela, Vice President for Education at Tampere University.
