Tampere University maintains position in an international university ranking

Tampere University was ranked among the 350 best universities in a recent international university ranking. According to the comparison made by the Times Higher Education (THE) magazine, Tampere University’s strength lies in industry cooperation.
The ranking comprised 1,904 universities around the world. Tampere University was placed in the group of 301–350 best universities, which is the same ranking it obtained last year. This time, the University got its best points for industry cooperation.
Ten Finnish universities were included in THE's comparison, among which Tampere University shared the fourth place with the University of Turku.
The indicators used in the ranking measure universities’ teaching, research, industry cooperation and international outlook. The University of Oxford gained the first place in THE World University Rankings.
