Tampere University, telecommunication engineering stands out as the top-performing subject, securing a global ranking of 48th. Following closely behind, Communication is the university's second-strongest subject, ranking within the 76-100 range.

The Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2023 by Shanghai Ranking released on 27th October, evaluates academic subjects based on research output, research quality, influence, international collaboration, and international academic awards. The ranking included over 5,000 universities.
