About me

Currently, I am working as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Tampere Institute of Advanced Study, where my research focuses on investigating resilience in higher education in war- and conflict-affected contexts. Over the past nine years, I have explored various aspects of university teachers' professional development. My doctoral research (2015-2020) investigated their innovativeness and willingness to change. Additionally, I worked as a data analyst and consultant for the capacity building e-Training FinPal project (March 2017–May 2020). Following this, I led a TAU-funded postdoctoral project Developing Digital Pedagogics (2020-2021) that examined online teaching expertise during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2022, I was awarded a one-year grant to further explore Online Teaching Expertise in Conflict-Affected Regions, with a particular focus on Palestine/Gaza.
