Modernisation of technology companies through artificial intelligence and robotics project designs and tests a modernization service that meets the needs of companies in Satakunta, where SMEs in particular can commission experiments and Proof of Concept (PoC) pilots carried out by experts and/or expert/student teams from different fields.
Background
The project aims to modernize the production and technology services of Satakunta companies with the help of artificial intelligence and robotics. The project is carried out by experts from Satakunta University of Applied Sciences and the Pori unit of the University of Tampere, RoboAI Research and Development Laboratory. It focuses in particular on the needs of SMEs, offering trials and Proof of Concept pilots.
Goal
The project has the following main objectives:
- Design and test a modernization service that specifically meets the needs of Satakunta-based SMEs, enabling experiments and PoC pilots carried out by experts and student teams.
- Identify and select companies utilizing automation, robotics and artificial intelligence for experiments, strengthening their growth opportunities.
- Develops and models the implementation possibilities of modernization services to be clear and approachable, integrating them into Robocoast EDIH services.
- Strengthen the expertise and collaboration of RoboAI's Research and Development Centre, making wider use of the results to promote technological development in the region.
Impact
Impact of the project in the short and long term:
Short-term effects:
- Immediate benefits for SMEs through modernization services, such as improved production efficiency and technology utilization.
- The concrete development of technology know-how and innovations by companies in Satakunta through experiments and PoC pilots.
