Become our RDIC partner
RDI projects are working life cooperation at its best
Up-to-date research, networking and new product development ideas are often the best part of being involved in RDIC projects. We are a multidisciplinary and reliable RDIC operator with comprehensive networks both nationally and internationally.
We receive project ideas from our current partners, as partner requests from Finland and abroad, or from staff and students. Our experienced experts advance new RDIC projects in many ways during the idea phase, when applying for funding and when implementing the project. Thus, it is desirable to carry out projects with us!
For companies and organisations
Companies and public organisations can benefit from RDIC in many ways. RDIC can help develop new products, improve processes and increase competitiveness. TAMK offers a variety of co-operation opportunities, such as expert services, research projects and educational co-operation.
Development projects: Projects funded by national and international funding sources enable diverse joint development. In ESF+ and ERDF funded projects, development cooperation can be done in a variety of ways. The ESF+ such as the European Social Fund plus, supports employment and social inclusion. The ERDF, or European Regional Development Fund, focuses on improving the competitiveness of regions. Both funds provide funding for projects that contribute to economic growth and job creation.
Other possible sources of funding include Erasmus+, Business Finland, the Finnish National Board of Education, and various ministries and foundations. We are familiar with funding sources and project applications, so our business partners can focus on actual development with us.
Testing and piloting: TAMK's RDIC infrastructure can be utilised in the testing and piloting stage by applying diverse equipment and expertise to meet the needs of different fields. Infrastructure supports the development of innovations and experimentation with new solutions.
Internationalisation: Companies can internationalise through TAMK's research, development and innovation networks by utilising the resources they provide, such as expertise, technology and cooperation opportunities. TAMK's networks can help companies find new markets, partners and sources of funding.
Recruiting students: Companies can recruit students from TAMK through internships, project work, theses and recruitment events. Cooperation with TAMK provides access to knowledgeable students and fresh insights.
Our RDIC activities have a genuine impact on society. For example, in the pan-European FUSILLI project, we are involved in building a sustainable, healthy and cost-effective food system for urban environments. In the E3 Pandemic Response project we are building an effective response against the spread of infectious diseases together with 6 other research organisations and 22 companies.
For universities
TAMK is an innovative and experienced project partner that offers multidisciplinary expertise and networks. Cooperation with TAMK enables access to an extensive network of experts and the latest research data, which supports the development and competitiveness of higher education institutions.
Working with national and international networks is a key part of our everyday work - together we are wiser and more impactful. For example, in the EduSTA project, we strengthen European teacher education together with an international network of higher education institutions.
For new and current students
TAMK students can participate in RDIC project development activities through theses, internships or project courses, for example. Collaboration with companies and other organisations provides hands-on experience and an opportunity to network.
TAMK students can do assignments in RDIC learning environments as part of their studies or projects. Students can apply for funding for their own project, for example, from grants offered by the Tampere University of Applied Sciences Foundation, various research and development grants, private foundations or public funding sources.
One example of a research project in which students have played a key role is SUSTAFIT project, which aims to reduce the environmental impact of nonwovens.
