Societal impact with projects
In our working life projects, we apply research information to genuine development needs of the private and public sector. Open innovation ecosystems as well as testing and learning environments are an essential part of our multidisciplinary RDIC.
The project impact may be new business, innovations, competence or better procedures. It is important that project outcomes continue to deliver value and new operations models are developed. RDIC projects may be large or small, regional, national or international – they are all equally important for us.
The societal viewpoint is important in all our RDIC, which supports education, Tampere Region business life and regional development. Our important funding sources are Erasmus+, the European Social Fund (ESF), European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), ministries’ programmes and Business Finland.
For us, TAMK's project has brought new perspectives. It's great to get help and a push from the outside, and then to see the result in a concrete way. It lowers the threshold for new experiments.

During the project, we were able to stimulate discussion on the development of our company's processes and operating methods. Work on these issues has been started and TAMK's staff has acted as good support.
