I am a visiting researcher in Language Unit. My research project focuses on diverse aspects of translation in creative industries including fan communities, commodification of fan labour and the intersection of fandom with issues of identity, representation, and participatory culture. My research explores the intricate and transformative role that fan labour plays in bridging linguistic and cultural barriers in the realm of media and entertainment.
