TAMK Student's Handbook

Certificates and confirmations for exchange students

Many exchange students have different certificates, confirmations or other similar forms (especially Erasmus+ students) from their home university which must be signed and stamped at TAMK by Student Mobility Services.

Remember to take care of all the documents at least a few days before leaving as it might take a couple of days to get the signatures/stamps from the responsible persons. The documents may not be signed earlier than one week before your date of departure.

The following dates are written on the certificates:

Start of studies:

  • first day of the Welcome Week or
  • the day of your arrival (after the Welcome Week)

End of studies:

  • the end of the teaching period
  • the end of your studies (e.g. the last exam you take or the last lecture you attend)
  • the day of your departure from TAMK (if you leave before the end of the teaching period)

The dates we can confirm are the start date, the actual return date and/or the end of the teaching period, but please double-check first with your home university what type of document they need regarding the length of your exchange period, as the requirements can vary. We hope you will pre-fill the documents before bringing them to us.

Transcript of records

Please note that TAMK´s official transcript of records does not include the actual dates of your study period at TAMK. Exchange students can download an electronically signed and verified transcript of records from PAKKI. The document is electronically signed using the certificate of the Population Register Centre of Finland (DVV), which guarantees the authenticity of the electronic signature.

Further information on verifying the authenticity of documents can be found on Tampere University of Applied Sciences’ website at www.tuni.fi/esignature/en.
