Hervanta Campus

<p>University-level studies are free of charge for students of partner upper secondary schools that have signed a cooperation agreement. The student's own school pays for the studies to the Tampere University according to the agreement. <p>A &nbsp;student attaining grade &amp;#34;good&amp;#34; can design and implement smallish &nbsp;(consisting some hundreds lines of code at maximum) programs independently: the student is able to divide the program to &nbsp;parts that can be implemented separately in a practicable way plus &nbsp;design simple data structures and algorithms. &nbsp;Especially the student:</p><ul><li>can use a version control system (in single programmer&amp;#39;s projects without remote repositories)<br></li><li>can use the most common STL containers, algorithms, and iterators</li><li>can write recursive functions</li><li>can use pointers and indirect pointing</li><li>understands the principles of (dynamic) memory management.<br></li></ul>

<h2>Prerequisites</h2><p>Basic programming knowledge.</p><p>Course is meant for students that have knowledge corresponding to the grade 3 or better from the course COMP.CS.100 Programming 1: Introduction to programming (or its earlier versions). However, you can start the course, if your grade from Programming 1 is less than 3, but in such case you are expected to complete your prerequisite independently to the level expected on the course.<br></p><h2>Compulsory Prerequisites</h2><ul><li>Programming 1: Introduction to Programming, COMP.CS.100, 5 cr</li><li>Programming 1: Introduction, TIE-02107, 5 cr</li><li>Introduction to Programming I, TIEP1.1, 5 cr</li></ul>
