After &nbsp; successful completion of the course, the student will &nbsp;- &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;be able to describe the current global situation related to &nbsp; food security, nutrition and health, &nbsp;- &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;be able to discuss how nutrition and diets relate to &nbsp; sustainability of food systems and sustainable development goals, &nbsp;- &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;be familiar with &nbsp; the cultural and social underpinnings of sustainable food systems, including &nbsp; meanings of food in everyday lives and presentations of food in media &nbsp;- &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;understand the &nbsp; role and means of food policy in working for healthy and sustainable food &nbsp; systems at global and regional levels (e.g. World Health Organization, Food &nbsp; and Agriculture Organization, European Union and Nordic Council of &nbsp; Ministers), and &nbsp;- &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;understand what &nbsp; is meant by transformation of food systems, syndemics, commercial &nbsp; determinants of health and strategic policy choices for sustainable food &nbsp; systems.
