Students will be accepted on the course according to the time of sign-up, priority given to 1) students who have completed the KIE-08006 Intercultural Communication Skills course or KIE-08906 Intercultural Project Work; 2) TUT students to whom the course is compulsory; 3) students that enrolled earlier. Exchange students will be accepted to the group only on a space-available basis.
To ensure the group diversity,. 40% of students from international master's degree programmes and 60% of students from degree programmes in Finnish

Learning Outcomes
During this course, students focus on learning and practicing intercultural competencies that enhance collaboration among individuals from different cultures and in multicultural teams. Students will be able to identify the advantages and challenges encountered frequently in the intercultural workplace in todays globalized world. Students will analyze real cases of challenges that employees, employers and companies have faced while working in an intercultural workplace or a cultural foreign environment. Students will be able to: identify intercultural competencies in the workplace apply strategies to work and manage projects in multicultural (virtual) teams identify the influence of cross-cultural differences on job interviews recognize core working values of a culture of their interest distinguish different strategies to solve conflicts across cultures contrast the similarities and differences between local, national and corporate culture
