This course aims to develop the intercultural competencies of students by enhancing collaboration, communication and integration into a multicultural group or environment. This course integrates with selected content courses via prior agreement with the instructors involved. The activities in this course aim to provide support to the activities done in content courses that involve multicultural, international and/ or collaboration in a foreign language. The topics and activities will support the content course and be largely determined by its learning goals and requirements.

The requirements to complete these credits will depend of the course that is integrating intercultural communication. E.g. Introduction to Academic Studies integrating Intercultural Communication will require specific activities and learning goals to complete these credits.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the integration students will develop skills such as : identifying the influence of culture, languages and non-verbal communication in collaboration and adaptation to multicultural environments. applying strategies to adapt to a new cultural environment in the in multicultural environments combining global views in problem solving applying different working styles to projects

Instructions for students on how to achieve the learning outcomes

To achieve the learning outcomes, students will: complete the online or face-to-face collaboration scheduled to develop intercultural communication skills read, watch and apply theories and intercultural communication skills to the activities in the substance course give and receive feedback from other students and the instructor. work actively individually and/or in group work elaborate the requested tasks related to intercultural communication
