Learning Outcomes

On completion of this course, the student recognizes the basic concepts of a supply chain management and its importance to companies' operations and competitiveness: Forecasting methods, capacity management, logistics and procurement management. We will also introduce topics such as sustainability, supply chain digitalization, and other recent supply chain innovations. The content covers both quantitative and qualitative materials to identify, analyze and manage supply chain operations and issues. The class format includes lectures, challenge questions, simulation games, and guest speaker. By conducting the course assignments, the students enhance their team working and project management skills. There are no prerequisites for this course. A background in probability and statistics is desirable but not required; any necessary background will be introduced in class.

There are no prerequisites for this course. A background in probability and statistics is desirable but not required; any necessary background will be introduced in class The required readings (chapters, case studies, webpages, ..) will be introduced for each session, and handouts will be available on Moodle.
