Urban Analyses

Additional information

The Urban analyses -course focuses on qualitative and quantitative analyses of urban environment. The course deepens the GIS-skills learned in Urban planning IV -course and students familiarize themselves also with other data gathering and analysing methods (e.g. surveys of different kind, questionnaires and statistical analyses). During the course, students analyze certain urban area with methods of different kind from different points of view and produce synthesis and policy recommendations on the basis of these analyses. The course cooperates with the actors and institutes of the case area.
The implementation will not be executed during the academic year 2019-2020.

Learning Outcomes

After compelting the course student is able to: -manages analyses of different kind related to urban planning and can apply them independently -understand the use and application of different kind of analysing methods -interpret the results of analyses of different kind and can make policy recommendations based on the results
